The Erica Zwickel Foundation was established in 2003 in memory of a wonderful young woman, Erica Zwickel.
Erica passed away at the age of 31 after suffering with MS for the last few years of her life.
Erica was a vibrant, active person who had a passion for art and music. Erica was a student at the DuCret School of Art and worked as a promoter with a New Jersey firm that manages and promotes most of New Jersey's Rock bands. In addition, she worked tirelessly to manage the famous cover band Dog Voices and to help new bands that were trying to get established on the band circuit.
The foundation was set up to fund MS research, and to aid talented students with a true financial need in their pursuit of their education in the arts and music. Each year the Foundation hopes to be able to donate money that will be earmarked to go directly for research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for MS, and to provide scholarships in both art and music. In 2006, the Foundation added a donation for research in breast cancer surgical oncology, to help find better treatments. Due to the generosity of people, other foundations and companies, we hope to fulfill our mission. We do this because these are worthy causes, and it is something that needs to be done. We also do this in Erica's memory.
THIS IS WHAT ERICA WOULD WANT THE FOUNDATION TO DO IN HER NAME.
